Coming soon to iPhoneCurrently in testing. No launch date yet.
Everything you own and owe, in one place.
Accounts, assets and debts
Track bank accounts, savings, investments, pensions, property and other assets alongside loans, cards and overdrafts. Archive an account and its history stays.
A monthly check-in
Record your balances at a rhythm you choose, add a note if you like, and get a report of what changed and which accounts moved it. Optional reminders at a time you pick.
Insights over time
Net worth history, asset and liability breakdowns, and progress by date or by age. Filter by You, Partner or Joint if you track a household.
Projections you can shape
Explore future scenarios by adjusting growth, contributions and repayments. These are illustrations based on your assumptions, not predictions.
Start from a spreadsheet
Already tracking in Excel? Import an XLSX or CSV file, map the columns and review the result before it's saved. Or add accounts by hand.
Made for iPhone
Home Screen widgets, light and dark appearance, and an optional Face ID or Touch ID lock.
Three steps, once a month.
Add your accounts
Enter what you own and owe with opening balances, or import your history from a spreadsheet.
Check in monthly
Update each balance. It takes a few minutes, and there's nothing to watch in between.
See where you stand
Understand how your net worth is changing, and explore what could come next.
Your data is yours.
No sign-in, no ads, no tracking, and we never see your records. Here is exactly where they are kept.
- Stored on your iPhone. Your accounts, balances, notes and history are kept on your iPhone and are never sent to us. We don't run a server that receives them.
- Included in your iPhone's backup. Your records are part of your iPhone's own backup, so they come with you to a new phone. If you use iCloud Backup, Apple stores that copy in your iCloud account. We never receive it.
- No bank connection. MothTrack doesn't link to your bank or sync transactions. You enter the figures.
- Purchases go through Apple. Membership is handled by Apple and RevenueCat, which process purchase information to manage access. Your financial records aren't part of that.
- Export whenever you like. Save a password-protected backup file at any time and keep it where you choose, even after a membership has ended. We can't recover records or a forgotten backup password for you.
- Delete everything yourself. Settings > Delete all data erases your records from your iPhone.
- Full details are in the Privacy Policy.
Before you ask.
Does MothTrack connect to my bank?
No. There's no bank connection, Open Banking link or automatic syncing. You record your balances yourself, or import them from a spreadsheet.
Where are my financial records stored?
On your iPhone, and in your iPhone's own backup if you keep one, such as iCloud Backup, which Apple stores in your own account. They are never sent to us.
Can I import an existing spreadsheet?
Yes, MothTrack can import XLSX and CSV files. Spreadsheets vary a lot, so you map the columns and review the values before anything is saved.
Can I track assets and debts together?
Yes. Net worth is everything you own minus everything you owe, so both sit side by side, including property, pensions, loans and overdrafts.
Are projections guaranteed?
No. Projections are illustrations based on assumptions you set. Real outcomes will differ. MothTrack is a tracking and planning tool and doesn't give financial advice.
How much will it cost?
MothTrack will be free to download. To keep using it after setup and the guided tour you'll need MothTrack Pro, available as a monthly or annual subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. There are no ads. Eligible new subscribers will be able to start with a free trial, and prices will be shown on the App Store at launch.
How do backups work?
Your records are included in your iPhone's own backup, so restoring or moving to a new iPhone brings them with you. You can also export a password-protected backup file from the app at any time. We can't restore your records or a forgotten backup password for you.
When will it launch?
Soon. It's being tested now and we haven't set a date.
Need a hand?
- Export a backup. In Settings, choose Export protected backup, set a password and save the file. You'll need that password to restore it, and we can't reset it.
- Restore a backup. In Settings, choose Restore protected backup, pick the file and enter its password. Restoring replaces the records currently in the app.
- Delete all data. In Settings, choose Delete all data. This erases your accounts, history, notes, goal and settings from your iPhone. It doesn't cancel a membership or touch backup files you've exported.
Anything else? Email us and a real person will reply. Please don't send backup files or passwords.
